About this game
Quiztory is about introducing simple memory tricks to everyone. In this pack, we invite you to embark on a crazy journey through the times and events of the Cold War! You don’t know much about it? You are not really good at history? All the better - this game is not just for history buffs!

Your memory is great!
There are certain things people have a very good memory for. And there are others, where we struggle. Historic dates and facts are not easy to memorize for anyone. We are much better with funny images and stories. This is why competitive memory champions do not cram in numbers directly. They wrap facts that are really hard to remember in things that are much easier to memorize. Numbers turn into words that stand in for the numbers. 65 turns into Jiving Lions. Karate Zebra is a 70. There is a standard to do these translations, which is called the Major System. If you stick to it, you can share them with others - as we do in this game. If you get some experience with these techniques, you will be able to make much better use of your memory. You can memorize a lot more in much less time! Did you know that the world record for memorizing random events and their dates stands at 241 in only 5 minutes?

The Major System
The Major System is fairly easy and you do not have to know it before you play. There is a card in the pack that you can put on the table and look it up when you need it. You will pick the system up quickly when you play and you can use it in everyday life. Do you struggle to stay on top of your credit and debit card pins? 1234 is a “Tiny Mare” or “Tigers Never Make Ravioli”. 6957 is a “Cheap Elk” or “Chickens Pecked Lenin’s Cornflakes”. Words are easier to remember than numbers - and funny images are even easier than words. You do not have to become a memory champion - but why not try their memory tricks to help you out?

How to play
Quiztory includes a standard set of 52 cards with which you can play many games. There are three games you can play right away: One for players who know little about the topic and just want to spend a board game evening with family and friends. One for players who are experts already and just want a fast game. And one for playing by yourself.
